Apartments Los Cristianos, Close To Playa De Las Americas

by Lorenzo Jacabo

If you are looking for a lovely spot to holiday in with lots of things to do, you will find beaches, bars restaurants and apartments Los cristianos to be fantastic. They even have Old English tearooms just down the road in Cristian Suir.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and Los Cristianos is situated on the south-west side of this island. Even though it is much quieter here than many of the other resorts on Tenerife, it is still a popular place for visitors. It is a modern day resort which grew from a sleepy fishing village, but fortunately still retains some of its former charm.

The focal point of the resort is the working harbor, and despite the fact that there are modern shopping centers, hotels and apartments, the harbor has remained as it once was. It is now surrounded by restaurants and a square and the promenade is the backdrop for the beaches. The promenade stretches all the way to Playa de las Americas.

The main thoroughfare is a pedestrian only street and is part of the old town. Local people still live in this part of town! The best beaches on the island are man-made with dessert sand imported from the Sahara, and the best beach is Playa de las Vistas in Playa de las Americas. It is only a short taxi drive from Los Cristianos, and makes for a great day out.

Tenerife offers the joys of low duty and duty free shopping where visitors are able to quite literally shop till they drop in the many stores. Cultured pearls and handicrafts are a favorite for souvenir hunters, but liberal spending on tobacco, perfumes, cameras, designer clothing and electrical goods goes on too.

British brand goods are in plentiful supply and you will find these in most of the shops at the San Eugene center. The Sunday street market is great fun and holiday-makers enjoy haggling with local vendors for cheaper prices.

There is a large variety of restaurants where holiday makers are able to enjoy meals of all different types, from the well known English breakfast to Chinese and even Mexican foods. There are also some discos, nightclubs and fun pubs but nothing as exciting as those found in nearby Playa de las Americas.

How To Savour a Camping Vacation

by Isaac Connor

Are you designing a camping out vacation for the whole family unit? Luckily it is a good reprieve from the bustle of city life now and again. Readiness is the supreme key to the success of your trip so here are some of the hints on how you can be better organized for the holiday trip ahead of you.

To begin with, do research about the area or the encampment where the vacation will be held. Find each free installation and essentials and learn what they might lack and which requires specific care. Many of the inaccessible sites I have been do not ordinarily have working water and showers.

In a few cases, they might be available but they are not fit for imbibing, cleaning, washing or cooking so be sure to bring with you adequate provisions of bottled water or take some purification tabs. Do not sacrifice your family’s wellness and safety simply to be in a space that assures fascinating scenery. To optimally savour it you need to check that your family’s basic needs are considerably taken care of.

Before finding yourself too excited about experiencing the Grand Canyon, you must determine the climate and weather so that you will realize or at least calculate the correct type of clothing to carry with you on your journey.

Take an appropriate sleeping bag for the weather and atmospheric conditions of your camping vacation. If it is a warm weather destination then a light sleeping bag should be cheap and simple to acquire. If you will be camping out in a freezing weather destination then it is prudent to purchase a lightweight yet considerably insulated and water tolerant sleeping bag.

Check and carry with you a well furnished first aid kit for emergency problems. Make sure to have different sizings of bandages, alcohol, towels, ointments, antibacterial sprays, comforting or medicinal lotions and other related requirements.

It is also advisable to bring several antihistamines and pain relieving medication. If there is somebody in the group that takes day-to-day or frequent medicine, be sure to carry it with you to avert any trouble. Preemptive steps must be required so that you will not only enjoy the camping vacation but likewise make your journey safe and comfy.

A Driver Alarm can Save Your Life

by Steve Thibeault

Anyone who drives a car should consider the purchase of a driver alarm. There are some truly frightening statistics that tell us just how many people actually fall asleep whilst driving and the damage that such an action can cause. Whilst not all of us are long-distance drivers, many of us can recall, if we are honest, times when we have been very sleepy at the wheel and should really not have been driving.

In the United States, almost 3/4 of us drive cars. Did you know that somewhere in the region of 100 million people are estimated to drive their cars when over tired, of which one third actually fall asleep at the wheel. The potential consequences are of course frightening, even if this action does not always result in an accident. Solve this problem by getting hold of a driver alarm.

Experts recommended that we get a minimum of eight hours sleep per night, but few do due to their schedules. You may work a very active lifestyle or suffer through long shifts, so don’t be surprised if you nod off at the wheel when you are driving home at the end of that hectic day.

Sadly, there are more than 100,000 sleep related accidents per year and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates more than $12 billion of monetary losses, in the United States alone, due to the more than 1500 deaths and injuries caused. Wouldn’t it be nice to see some of these gruesome statistics disappear if everyone could carry a simple driver alarm.

The driver alarm is a simple item that you place over your ear. If your head sags below a certain level, an alarm will be sounded right next to your ear. The item is very simple in principle and, similar to a mercury switch, if you doze off the movement causes a switch to trip and a loud alarm will surely wake you.

You should pull off the road if you are sleepy. Taking a short nap will certainly help and it is no good to just open a window to get more fresh air. Some people should be required to carry a driver alarm, including those who have very hectic schedules and those who work in a driving occupation.

You should get a driver alarm now if you think you are vulnerable. Don’t forget that there is a heavy economic and personal cost involved, should something happen. Sometimes jail sentences can be handed out and multimillion dollar awards are commonplace in civil lawsuits.

Get plenty of rest before you plan a long-distance drive. Don’t rely on the driver alarm to keep you awake, even though it will definitely stop you from falling asleep. Prepare first and be sensible.
